New Taipei City Government's“Integrated Emergency Data Platform - An AIoT application in All-hazards Early Warning and Decision-Supporting System” predict emergencies and help leaders make better decisions in the face of disasters.
The system contains functions like “Flood Early Warning” which integrates 2D flooding prediction models, disaster database, and cloud computing to establish flooding-prone hotspots 48 hours in advance; a “Localized Weather E-map” which combines local weather data and New Taipei City map to forecast precipitation periods and zones, and “Dynamic Data Visualization” that can present data according to time, region, and disaster category change for commanders to understand holistic disaster situations and each rescue progress aided with a “On-Scene photo Comparison”. Additionally, the system develops “Severity Management” which divides real-time reporting cases into severity and status with icons and colors on e-map to efficiently take control of all cases processing.
The system integrates 20 governmental agencies (including 8 central authorities and 5 local authorities) and 80 databases into one interface unifying different disaster information formats and enhancing the deduction of manual processing cost. The project is beneficial to the development of AI industry, IoT industry, telecommunication, etc. In the coming future, this platform will not only be open to government but also to businesses such as insurance, transportation, IT, telecommunication, travel, architecture to work out their approach facing disasters. |
